AIP-Texas History
AIP-Texas is a growing group of independent pharmacist investors from within Texas Pharmacy Association.
During the 2004 Texas Pharmacy Association Annual Meeting & Expo, pharmacists responded to growing threats to independent pharmacy by uniting to ensure the future of the independent pharmacy by uniting to ensure the future of the practice. As the fastest-growing network investing in the future of independent pharmacy in Texas, our goals are simple:
- Secure our professional future through vigorous advocacy in the legislation and regulation of Texas pharmacy; and
- Encourage independent pharmacists to actively represent pharmacy’s interest in the political arena—both at the state and local levels.
In 2011, the investors voted to incorporate and become an affiliate of Texas Pharmacy Association.
AIP-Texas Mission Statement
AIP-Texas exists to ensure the economic viability and security of independent pharmacy in Texas. By providing a forum for those practicing in independent pharmacies to exchange information, develop strategies, goals, and objectives that promote the practice of independent pharmacy. AIP-Texas will positively influence legislative and regulatory issues regarding independent pharmacy within Texas and the United States.
